The report reveals several key trends: generative AI adoption is 3x faster than any enterprise technology in history; marketing and sales are the most widely AI-adopted departments (68% adoption), followed by product R&D (58%) and IT operations (52%); 42% of enterprises report significant cost savings from AI, with an average 18% reduction in operational costs.
However, challenges remain: 47% of enterprises cite data quality and data silos as the primary barrier, 38% face AI talent shortages, and 31% have concerns about model output accuracy and reliability. The report recommends enterprises establish central AI governance teams and prioritize data infrastructure investment.
By the end of 2025, AI penetration in enterprises is expected to exceed 90%, with AI spending reaching over 10% of global IT budgets.
